My wife Angela and I run cattle on Wongalea. I was a shearer for 12 years and now run a part time computer business. Our 3 children have all grown up and left home, but are always hanging out to come home to "Wongalea"

Lionel is a very friendly and helpful host. Unfortunately we did not see the property at its best and would have preferred to be away from other campers. Magic starry nights

An enjoyable weekend had by all. Despite slashing still quite a few thistles/stinging nettles , Drop toilet building needs repairs as ladies would not use it. Great care needed around river as banks were steep. Despite all this was a nice place to spend a couple of days

This is our 2nd visit to Wongalea. Perfect hideaway to just relax or do some reading. For those inclined to go fishing, there's yella belly , Murray cod or carp to take your bait. We will continue to visit this beautiful part of Wongalea property. Thanks for sharing your property Lionel.

We had a fantastic weekend at Wongalea. The area on the riverbank was great for camping and fishing. Lionel was an excellent host. He was friendly, caring, helpful and the communication was great. I definitely recommend staying at Wongalea. We will be back one day!

Great spot and excellent hosts. Worth going for a drive around the property, easy 4WD track and see heaps of wildlife. The river speaks for itself!!

We enjoyed the "Wongalea" experience by kayaking down the river, fishing (which was fun but no fish were keepers). Lionel and Angela went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. The lower bank campsites would be recommended but plenty of area on the top side as well. Will be back again.

Wongalea is a top spot and Lionel is a great host. The camping site on the lower bank is as described and makes for a very relaxing stay.

Macintyre Magic! This spot was perfect!! A majestic River, gorgeous Gums, Weeping Willows, Bottlebrush; Cockatoos, Galahs, Cattle and Goats :) There's even a toilet! and tables and chairs . . and even a canoe (don't know if it floats :) and fire bins available. The grass is cut, the country is real!
