About the host, Maurie Foun

This property has been a dream of mine. I enjoy welcoming people and instigated the first ever Camp Oven Cooking Bash as a part of Upper Murray Tourism. Budding musicians welcome here. I have a passion for poetry and I've been a member of the Australian Bush Poetry Association for over 20 years. Chances are you'll here a poem or two while you are here! 95% of my buildings are from recycled materials. I have a current working with children's check.

Mauries's property is the culmination of 10 years of hard work to offer exceptional facilities and manicured grounds amongst the backdrop of the high country. The views are stunning and with limited sites on available offer lots of space, peace and tranquility

Maurie has created the perfect base for camping with children. The camp kitchen and toilets/showers make things so easy whilst still being outdoors. Our host was so friendly, helpful, and had plenty of great tips about things to see and do - and the poetry around the campfire at night was lovely.
