Samsons Gully

About the property
Samsons Gully is a working cattle farm nestled in a stunning private valley. If you are after peace and tranquillity this is where you will find it.

We have a national park on one side of us, and the Cudgewa Creek flowing along our front boundary.

Main camp sites are on the banks of the Cudgewa Creek. However, there are plenty of places to camp in the bush for those wanting more seclusion.

Our property suits fully self contained campers only as there is not toilet or shower. There is a rustic cabin that sleeps two, this does have a toilet (no shower). Dogs are welcome but must be well behaved as this is a cattle property.

While we are strict about not over crowding the camp sites, sometimes you just don't want to see other people while you are camping. We have a few sites that are away from the main creek, and therefore away from all the other campers. These sites are still within easy walking distance to the Cudgewa Creek for fishing and swimming, but you don't have to worry about your neighbours.

We are farmers who own a little secluded piece of paradise in the Upper Murray region of North East Victoria. We love to see people come here and fall in love with it too. We are also looking forward to the day when we can hook up our caravan and visit some other Youcamp properties.

We enjoyed staying at Mark and Louisa's working farm set in a beautiful valley bordered by a national park. It was good to see all the animals roaming about freely. Our cabin was comfortable, clean and met all our basic needs. The camp sites by the creek looked great too.

This is a truly beautiful part of the world and Mark and Louisa are great hosts. I shortened my stay as the grass was too long at the creek site. This could be easily improved to make the campsite more habitable. A sign post to identify the farm would be great. Wonderful access to walking tracks.

Samsons gully was a fantastic place to camp. Mark and Louisa were very friendly and helpful, with advice on what to see in the area. The campsite we chose had everything we were looking for, including a running creek and plenty of wide open spaces away from crowds. Highly recommended.

We spent an enjoyable six nights right on the river with lovely shady trees and mountain views. Close to Corryong with a dump point. Great base to explore the local area and day trips.

Had a lengthy stay over the Xmas summer holidays. Was peaceful, relaxing and adventurous when we wanted to. Great base for exploring the great Upper Murray area. Recommend the 4WD track route to Cudgewa Bluff falls. Out kids loved swimming in the creek. Thanks Mark and Louisa.

Lovely peaceful site situated beside the river. Campfires allowed and firewood provided. Our site (2WD) was large enough for a few families and there was plenty of room between other campers. Appreciated the large shady tree on a hot day. Thanks Mark and Louisa for sharing your property!
