Two thirds of the island is National Park and being fox-free, it is rich in birdlife and native animals. Our 75-acre property has koalas, echidnas, an abundance of native birds, wild peacocks plus free ranging chooks and ducks.
Bird-watching beach is a ten-minute walk away - hundreds of young swans. Drive two minutes for swimming, where the high tide water is warmed over tidal flats. Feels a long way from chilly Bass Strait. See access map in Photos.
The campsites are set in among eucalypt woodlands and a pine forest with hidden surprises. It is fun to explore and discover the rich flora, including native heath and orchids,
There is one shop on the island, a licensed general store, about 10 kilometres from our property.
