About the property
Dungarubba Fields is in a private, rural setting on six acres. Our two paddocks are set among the canefields and also remnant rainforest.

The setting offers shade, space, wildlife and birdlife. There are ample camping sites, campfire sites (seasonal due to bushfire prevention), a rainwater tank, tap and access to a downstairs flushing toilet.

The Richmond River and boat ramp is a short 5 minute drive for fishing trips. We are pet friendly and children friendly. The Broadwater National Park is only a 5 minute drive, as is the Pacific Highway. The beautiful coastal village of Evans Head with shops, a medical clinic and a patrolled beach is just a 15 minute drive. Nearest townships are Broadwater, Woodburn and Evans Head. We are 45min to Byron Bay and 25min to Ballina and Lismore.
Nearest main town and distance
The nearest town is Broadwater (NSW) situated on the beautiful Richmond River. We are also close to Evans Head, picturesque seaside village which is only a 10-15 minute drive away to swimming and surfing beaches. Our nearest ocean beach is only 5 minutes drive away in the Broadwater National Park.

About the host, Lisa & Peter Byrne
Member since December 2016
Your hosts Lisa and Peter welcome visitors to the beautiful Northern Rivers. For outdoor pursuits you will be spoilt for choice. The Evans Head Tourist Guide 2017 is online, or ask Pete for a printed copy. There are beaches closeby to suit every mood; for swimming, fishing, shell-collecting, personal fitness and 4WD. National Parks are on our doorstep. We are parents ourselves, so children are more than welcome. We are pet friendly too with lots of space for games and bonfires.

Peter was wonderful and full of information about the local area. We had a great time and the sites were huge and shady. The koalas were grunting and other bird life was abundant in the trees.

Pete and Lisa were great to deal with and very flexible. There were lots of spots to choose from on their property and they also provided firewood, much appreciated! We battled the mozzies a bit but that's to be expected in that part of the world. Overall we really enjoyed staying!
