About the property
Description
We are a 55 hectare alpaca stud & sugar cane farm, just off the Pacific Hwy, on Harwood Is. in the Clarence River. We also agist horses.

Our property is mostly arable or pasture land with some small stands of natural vegetation and water courses.

We operate as a cottage industry, processing and manufacturing alpaca fleece products. We regularly conduct tours and maintain a small farm shop.

Our property will appeal to those seeking a pleasant, tranquil place to camp. The surroundings are farmland, although there are several areas of outstanding natural beauty in close proximity.

Please note that our campsite facilities are basic and best suited to self-contained campers. We DO NOT provide toilet or ablution facilities. However, we do have a portable toilet unit available for hire if you do not have one yourself (see details under Extras).
For those who prefer not to cook we also offer a full range of home-cooked meals.

Your hosts, Rob and Kathleen, welcome you to Cardiff Alpacas, an alpaca stud and cottage industry on the picturesque NSW North Coast. We also grow sugarcane, agist horses and maintain a small farm shop. We regularly conduct tea and lunch tours, so are very familiar with catering for visitors. Our extensive pastures provide ample space for camping and, for the less adventurous, a powered site is available. In this popular tourist area, there are many recreational activities to enjoy nearby.

What a top spot, great area to camp for a bit of touring around Yamba and Maclean . The area is flat and easy to access. We were surrounded by the cane fields . This will be our campsite when we are travelling to Yamba from now on. Well done Rob and Kathleen.

Nice people & property. Best for fully self-contained setups. Watch out for mozzies, our kids got quite a lot of bites before we realised mozzies were a problem and sprayed them.
