About the property
Description
This is a grain and sheep farming property situated on the Mortlock River about one and a half hours from Perth city. You can camp near the river (seasonal water levels, can be dry in summer). Great for weekend campers or people needing a spur-of-the-moment break. We prefer campers during Winter - Spring.

There's a big campfire pit with wood provided and a septic toilet. Sites are secluded and quiet...just you and the river, Sheoaks; lots of walking, thinking, sleeping ...

Pets OK but dogs must be kept on a lead due to stock. Adults $15 and children 10 and under are $5 per night.
Nearest main town and distance
Northam - about 40km, but we have a local (famous) Tavern, if you'd prefer to be fed and watered while you're on your break.

We are a grains and sheep farm situated about one and a half hours from the city - so great for weekenders. We offer a quiet hide-away camping location by our river (dry in summer). Winter campers have access to a large open fire, septic toilet and as much space as they need to walk, think, sleep. Animals are welcome but must be kept on a lead.

I went along with my friends and we had a really good time there, all of us loved the welcoming from Cathie and Joe, who were warm and kind with us. They provided us with all the things we were lacked of, also we got enough water and the toilet was clean. We had really good fun there.

Trapwell Farm was a great spot for a weekend getaway , only 1.5hrs from Perth. Hosts Joe & Cathie suprised us with home made morning tea. Summertime the river is dry & double g's are yuk but going back in winter to camp &kayak when the river is running. Great riverside camping with shade ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had one night at Trapwell Farm and really enjoyed the peacefulness and tranquility. Cathie was great and the perfect hostess. The flushing toilet an extra bonus for the wife. Will definitely stay at Trapwell Farm again.
