About the property
This is a 10 acre property with vast ocean views of Portland Bay - the whale watching capital of Victoria. Whales can be seen frolicking & the remains of the old whaling jetty and the historic convict grounds are next to the property.

We welcome groups, small & large, including families, school camps, clubs, etc. Each booking is exclusive to one group only & you will have access to all facilities the lodge has to offer. There is a min. booking which is equal to 15 adults ($525). Sleeps 100.

The lodge has 30 rooms (most with single & bunk bed), full commercial kitchen, large hall that seats 100, stunning views, comfortable amenities and a campfire pit with free firewood provided perfect to gather and relax at the end of the day.

Adults $35 p/n and children $17 p/n. Sorry no pets.

About the host, Dean Beckman
Member since November 2016
Dean has a degree in Marine Biology with honours, and an MBA from Deakin University. He commenced his PhD but deferred due to an offer to work with Tyrecycle, a company that has since become Australia's largest and most respected tyre recycler. Dean occupied the position of CEO and President of the Australian Tyre Recyclers Association (ATRA) during his 15 year career. He has since taken time away from the corporate life to be with his own children and teach school groups at Portland Bay Lodge.
